AddressWe have a rare and exciting opportunity for an Event Content Writer to join our high-performing marketing and communications team.
As the Event Content Writer, you will work closely with the Asia Pacific event marketing team, subject matter experts and buyer marketing leads to develop holistic, themed programs of content for major B2B events in the region, with a particular focus on Australia and Asia.

What the day will look like
- This will be a 3 day per week role for the right candidate
- This role will be responsible for writing content for Aon’s major events held throughout Asia Pacific including:
- Writing email invitations and pre-event website and social copy
- Briefing the e-mail delivery team to execute e-mail campaigns
- Working with subject matter experts (inhouse and external) to develop content for event sessions and creating related PowerPoint presentations
- Briefing the content agency to prepare post-event marketing communication
- Crafting speaker scripts as required
- Scheduling and hosting content development meetings and rehearsals for each event
- Collaborating with marketing colleagues to ensure alignment with brand, editorial, legal and messaging guidelines
- This is not a logistics role. The key responsibility is to create powerful content during the planning and development stage of our flagship events, that can be used on the day
Skills and experience that will lead to success
We are looking for a passionate, creative writer who enjoys working in partnership with subject matter experts to create compelling content for a business audience. We are looking for a strong team player with good organisational and communication skills. Suitable people will also have:
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in content writing
- Experience in writing content for events is preferable but not mandatory
- Ability to manage and prioritise multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced marketing and communications environment
- B2B or speech writing experience would be a plus to ensure the correct tone
- Ability to digest and explain complex information in a straight-forward way for business decision makers
- Diplomacy, patience and the ability to guide senior stakeholders
- Experience of writing to meet global brand and editorial guidelines
