We are seeking an experienced Event Operations Manager to join our Events team. Working across multiple brands and award-winning corporate deliverable catering, this role is fast-paced, and the right candidate will ensure the successful operational planning, execution, and management of events.
Reporting to the Head of Sales and Events and working closely with various teams, vendors, and clients to deliver seamless and memorable events. This role requires a combination of organisational leadership, and logistical skills to oversee all aspects of Event Operations.
Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to understand event objectives, themes, and requirements.
- Develop comprehensive event plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource requirements.
- Coordinate logistics for events, including transportation, and catering.
- Oversee the setup and breakdown of event spaces, ensuring everything runs smoothly.
- Manage the procurement and coordination of necessary equipment and materials.
- Build and lead a team of Event Operations staff, assigning roles and responsibilities.
- Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals, expectations, and updates.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment to enhance team productivity.
- Develop and manage event budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to financial constraints.
- Monitor expenses and identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising event quality.
- Identify potential risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate them.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and obtain necessary permits for events.
- Serve as the secondary point of contact for clients in the lead up and primary contact on the day of the event, providing regular updates on the progress of the event.
- Address client concerns and feedback promptly, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Conduct post-event evaluations to assess the success of the event and identify areas for improvement.
- Gather feedback from clients, participants, and internal teams to inform future planning.
- Promote ideas on how to grow and improve the business based on client needs and gaps in our offer.
- Other ad-hoc duties as per required.
The Successful Candidate will have:
- Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Business, or a related field.
- Proven experience in event planning and operations.
- Strong organisational, leadership, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in event management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of industry trends and best practices.
- A strong desire to succeed.
- Willingness to participate in further training.
