Event Project Lead (Qld)

Our client is a corporate event management company specialising in end-to-end event management, production, and creative services. They live and breathe events and aim to wow their corporate clients with creative event strategies that align with their brand message. They are looking for an experienced Project Lead to join their Event Services team, leading Event Project delivery teams, as well as overseeing and delivering world-class events domestically and internationally.  This role is based in Brisbane, QLD, with potential hybrid flexibility offered for the right person.
   
The role: 
The Project Lead is an experienced event professional with high-level skills in leadership, project management, and account management. The focus of the role is to provide support to the Events Leader in effectively leading and managing the live events teams and strive to meet or exceed business targets 

• Be fully accountable for the projects under your direction and work with the Events Leader, Sales Team and clients to ensure the event brief and budget are fully understood to deliver creative and logistically sound solutions 
• Plan resources and recruit contracted skill sets when and where necessary 
• Maximise profitability opportunities on every project 
• Ability to develop and manage existing customer relationships for consistent and repeat business opportunities. 
• Overall accountability for project pitches; development, content, and presentation of customer proposals 
• Responsible for all elements of project management- including critical path, budget, resourcing, execution, briefing, supplier and venue contracts, reconciliation and reporting 
• Identify and present opportunities for productivity and profitability improvement within the team. 
• Lead team members to develop as Project Management professionals by providing every possible opportunity and support to grow and expand on their knowledge and experience 

 Candidate profile: 

• You must have a minimum 5-6 years' experience as a Project or Event Manager in an agency environment 
• A high degree of project management experience, including managing offshore destinations, foreign currency budgets, large numbers of pax, complex events, high profile customers and multiple events at the same time. 
• Strong financial acumen including strategic pricing and effective budget management. 
• Understanding & ability to brief technical, video & data, print design and production suppliers. 
• Proficient in script writing. 
• Ideally have a good supplier network and/or be able to actively seek creative, talent, speakers and music solutions 
• You will be driven to do what’s necessary to deliver above and beyond the client’s expectations 
• Experience leading a team and developing them to their full potential 
• You will be customer centric with superior attention to detail 
• Confident in managing corporate clients/stakeholders and able to create strong working relationships quickly 
• You will have strong verbal and written communication skills 
• Be team orientated and results driven 
• You will possess the resilience to handle a fast-paced working environment, be able to work autonomously, with a passion for excellence  
• Experienced in event software- EventsAIR including OnAir (essential), Microsoft Office, Wrike, Procim, and other virtual event platforms as required. 
• Available for both domestic and international travel 

 
Salary & benefits: 

• $95-110K plus super including generous full-time employee entitlements and annual bonus
