Hourly rate $40 ($36.04 + 11% superannuation)
Summary
The LBW Trust is looking for a passionate and driven Events Coordinator to join our small team. This is a busy role in an organisation with limited resources. You will be integral in organising our face-to-face fundraising events such as annual dinner, cricket carnivals and inaugural multicultural carnival to be held in Sydney in 2025.
Duties
The Events Coordinator is responsible for:
- Event coordination
- Deliver all areas of event logistics including: developing event briefs and plans; working to timelines; maintaining accurate record keeping/work in progress files; venue management; liaising with committees; onsite coordination.
- Liaise with internal and external suppliers, committees, volunteers, sponsors, exhibitors, attendees.
- Manage ticketing and other fundraising activities.
- Oversee the delivery of events including managing volunteers and event staff.
- Develop budgets and follow approved expenditure.
- Committee support
- Keep events on track through organising Committee meetings and following up with tracking actions.
- Event Material and Collateral
- Working with our Communications and Marketing Coordinator, identify and create relevant event material and collateral such as programs, signage, presentations, invitations etc
As a small not-for-profit this role works within a team where other duties and responsibilities may arise from time-to-time including attendance at out of office hours events or activities.
Required Skills & Experience
- Experience in events, preferably within fundraising for a not-for-profit.
- Strong IT skills, including demonstrable use of Canva, WIX, Raisely, Mailchimp and other fundraising/ticketing platforms or willing / confidence to learn.
- Ability to manage competing priorities, with sound judgment to manage operational matters in a timely manner.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written, interpersonal and communication skills
- Proactive, with the ability to thrive in a small team
Required Behaviours
- Understanding of the not-for-profit sector and importance of events in securing fundraising success.
- Ability to work well as part of a fast paced, diverse team.

Key relationships
Reporting to the General Manager of The LBW Trust, the Events Coordinator works closely with our Marketing and Communications Coordinator as well as members of The Trust’s committees.
