We are looking for an Events & Wedding Coordinator to grow with our team and take ownership of their own portfolio. Your extensive sales experience in hospitality and knowledge of food and beverage will contribute to your management of a diverse range of events.
As the Events Coordinator, you will be responsible for:
- Sales leads and business development opportunities through networking
- Site inspections of the event facilities at the venue to prospective clients
- Processing sales enquiries and sending quotes
- Be actively involved in sales and marketing activities
- Respond to incoming 'requests for proposals' and attend to incoming calls and requests for site visits by potential clients
- Understanding sales targets, budgets and sales strategies
- The delivery of all events including weddings, corporate and social events
Experience and skills required:
- Proven event sales and planning experience within the events industry
- Effective time management
- Systems orientated with booking systems experience and the ability to process sales enquiries, quotes and invoices.
- Hospitality & Events Management training considered favourably
- Professional presentation
- Excellent communication skills
- Sound knowledge of banquet operations including room set-up and requirements
- Minimum 2 years experience within a similar role
