About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Events Manager to creatively deliver engagements that amplify brand awareness, grow sales, and build business relationships to achieve business objectives.
Your role will be to deliver impactful experiences across multiple event formats — from online webinars to large scale conferences, tradeshow participation, speaker engagements and subject matter expert (SME) programs.
The daily activities will include:
- Support the Head of Marketing Services in the scoping, planning and delivery of our annual event series, ensuring alignment with sales, client success and marketing objectives and also benchmarking ROI.
- Co-author the strategy brief for each event, with the marketing team and other stakeholders.
- Act in a project manager capacity to manage end-to-end deadlines and ensure successful event delivery — from scoping and planning to staging and post-event reporting.
- Set up and manage workflows using platforms like Asana ensuring the accuracy, quality, and comprehensiveness of data, and liaise with Digital on the setup of third-party event support platforms.
- Co-author the creative direction for event collateral in collaboration with relevant experts and briefing Design, Multimedia and Digital teams on the requirements. Items include (but not limited to) staging items (e.g. booth designs, stage settings, slide decks etc), promotional mail-outs, and digital assets as needed.
- Manage the speaker circuit programs, and maintain a speaker repository, including sourcing and qualifying speak opportunities.
- Support the delivery of webinars and review, edit and/or author abstracts prior to submission. Maintain a record of abstract acceptances and audience/speaker feedback.
- Manage administrative tasks and all logistical requirements for each event, including AV requirements, sponsor acquisition, compliance, shipping logistics and coordinate development of event-related communications and assets.
About You
We are seeking an experienced Events Manager with a strategic mindset and a track record of delivering unparalleled delegate experiences aligned with our renowned brand. To excel in this role, you will need:
- Over 5 years of extensive experience in end-to-end event management, delivering high quality events for large- and small-scale corporate organisations in an innovative fast-moving environment.
- Exceptional project management skills enabling simultaneous handling of multiple events, coupled with a clear understanding of high-end tradeshow planning and delivery.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills, with demonstrated experience managing the end-to-end process for sponsorship acquisition.
- Experience collaborating with speakers and/or entertainers and various suppliers from graphic artists and videographers to booth builders and conference venues.
- Proficient in technology-based event tools (such as Eventbrite, conference apps, webinar software), and strong practical knowledge with CRM (Salesforce desirable) MS Office suite for seamless administration.
- Working rights - You must hold current permanent and full-time working rights in Australia.
