About the Role
The Operations leader is an exciting and diverse role within the leadership team. They are responsible for overseeing and ensuring the operations team are thriving and servicing clients to exceptional standards whilst identifying sales to increase business growth. Overall, they are the strategic drivers of the business through careful planning, monitoring, analysing and assessing all that is necessary to support ETM’s continuous growth and success.
The Operations Leaders develops and supports the VIC business, in conjunction with the National Operations Leader. Ensure the teams are appropriately resourced, trained & mentored and achieve their financial targets.
An Operations Leader must oversee the overall team’s workforce productivity to deliver these promises. This can be impacted by technology, recruitment, turnover, rostering and leave planning, induction, knowledge management, development or performance management.

Skills and Experience
- At least five years successful experience managing people and resource management
- Ability to develop and implement business strategies with a longer-term focus.
- Communications expert within a business – you’ll be required to filter high volume information, so you’ll need to consider who, how and when carefully to remain effective;
- Experience and knowledge of software programs such as ‘EventsAir, Cvent, Sabre and Tramada advantageous
- Sound level of Microsoft Products for use in presentations and communication;
- Demonstrated expertise in the theories and practice of performance management;
- Organisational skills second to none – you’ll be hit with many issues on a day to day basis you can’t plan for;
- Demonstrated ability to professionally represent the company, both to staff and client audiences, including a commitment to proactive industry networking;
- Commitment to proactively advising when you identify local matters hindering our ongoing business success and sharing solutions with your peers;
- Strong organisational skills – highly organised, accurate and deadline-driven;
- Excellent customer service focus;
