ABOUT THE ROLE
The Executive Chef will lead and manage the kitchen team to deliver exceptional food services to 140 residents.
You will:
- manage the kitchen to deliver food services that meet nutritional and hydration needs of residents in accordance with individual resident’s assessed needs and preferences
- build, manage and motivate a team to safely and effectively deliver food services
- be an expert in food safety and will manage a kitchen that adheres to the Food Safety Program, including ensuring that quality and food safety standards are met at all times
- manage the food budget to deliver food services within budget constraints
- be a role model of Cranbrook Care culture and run the kitchen in accordance with Cranbrook Care values
ABOUT YOU
We are seeking an Executive Chef who:
- Is committed to delivering an exceptional level of service;
- Enjoys working in teams and is prepared to actively support team members and the broader Cranbrook Care community
- Is responsive to the changes to the dietary requirements of residents;
- Can work as part of the care homes Leadership Team;
- Has proven experience in managing and leading a kitchen team.
- Have experience in aged care, hospital or hotel background;
- Have a sound understanding of all regulatory compliance and food safety associated with cooking for vulnerable persons;
- Hygiene & infection control knowledge a must;
- Have strong communication and time management skills;
- Good computer literacy skills an advantage
- Be organised, passionate and possess a 'can do' attitude;
- Can provide leadership and set a high bar for PPE;
- Have a Cert III or IV in Commercial Cookery or other relevent trade qualification
You have a kind and compassionate nature with the ability to deal with sensitive issues in a professional, respectful and caring manner. You are an excellent communicator with second-to-none customer service skills. If you love working with people, are a quick learner, and pride yourself on getting things done right the first time, then this role is for you!
