How will you spend your time:
- Prepare and cook high-quality dishes, including appetizers, entrees, and desserts, in line with our pub's standards and menu offerings
- Ensure food preparation and presentation are of the highest quality, adhering to health and safety guidelines
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to maintain a smooth workflow during busy hours and ensure timely delivery of dishes
- Assist in menu development, bringing fresh ideas and contributing to the creation of innovative and seasonal dishes
- Manage inventory and ensure proper stock rotation to maintain freshness and minimize wastage
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, following sanitation regulations and ensuring adherence to cleanliness standards
- Supervise kitchen staff including sous chef, cooks and kitchen hands
- Schedule kitchen staff shifts and organise work rosters
- Train and mentor kitchen staff to improve skills and maintain high standards
About you:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef / Executive Chef in a fast-paced restaurant or pub setting
- A passion for creating and delivering exceptional culinary experiences
- Strong knowledge of proper food handling and sanitation standards
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage time effectively
- A team player with excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues
- Excellent leadership and management skills
