JOB DESCRIPTION
THE ROLE
Reporting to the Deputy Secretary, Family Safety Victoria, the Executive Director, Family and Sexual Violence Programs provides strategic and programmatic leadership and shapes the delivery of Family And Sexual Violence services at a state-wide and area level. The role is critical in leading the development of Family And Sexual Violence Programs, commissioning of services, implementation of key family violence initiatives, information system reform, data and analytics and in building service performance and quality that delivers outcomes for the Victorian community. The role works with the Dhelk Dja Partnership Forum, Koori caucus and other government departments to deliver on the Dhelk Dja Agreement and Action Plan.
The Executive Director is an experienced leader able to foster strong partnerships with senior stakeholders across government, service sectors and agencies and understands and influences the statewide and local area context and service delivery environment to deliver on the governments Family And Sexual Violence reform agenda.
The Executive Director is responsible for leading a high performing and capable workforce of approximately 90 staff across three units and for effectively managing a program budget in excess of $400m per annum.
ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE
- Establish, lead and manage the newly structured Family and Sexual Violence Programs Branch which brings together Victim Survivor Programs, Perpetrator Programs and System Performance and Aboriginal Initiatives Units teams to more cohesively and effectively translate policy into service delivery. The Branch is keenly focused on achieving improved client and community outcomes and delivering on the intent of Victoria's Family And Sexual Violence reform agenda.
- Support the delivery of the Dhelk Dja Agreement and Action Plan to end Family And Sexual Violence in Aboriginal communities in partnership with the Dhelk Dja Partnership Forum, Koori caucus and other government departments.
- Lead the development and maintenance of ICT solutions which promote efficient, effective and secure sharing of information relevant to family violence risk and direct service needs across The Orange Door network and family violence And Sexual assault sector.
