The position of Executive Director will lead the Regulatory Services Unit in the oversight of a National Regulatory System for Community Housing (NRSCH) within Queensland and establish and monitor performance against benchmarks for governance and viability of providers through financial and business performance. The NRSCH is designed to encourage the expansion of not-for-profit housing.

Housing and Homelessness Services (HHS) delivers quality services by providing responsive and integrated housing and homelessness support to vulnerable Queenslanders. Our focus through the HHS is to increase supply of social and affordable housing through innovative funding opportunities and partnerships across government and private industry. We are the primary funder, service provider and asset operator of Queensland's social housing portfolio comprising over 74,000 dwellings, of which 83 per cent are owned by the Department with the balance managed by the community and not-for-profit sector.
As the Executive Director, Regulatory Services you will:
Provide oversight for the registration and compliance assessments for community housing providers under the NRSCH. You will administer regulatory schemes for residential services, residential parks (manufactured homes) and retirement villages and is responsible for ensuring compliance with legislative requirements.
You will work directly with the sector to build a fair and sustainable sector and to administer the regulatory framework in a way that delivers the best possible outcomes for consumers.
