About Us
Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service covers an area of 142,900 square kilometres. We go as far as Tully in the south, Cow Bay in the north and Croydon in the west.
The outer western region of our service includes extremely remote communities. Cairns Hospital is the only major referral hospital in Far North Queensland and also provides care for people from Cape York and the Torres Strait.

About the role
The Executive Director Riral and Remote Services will be accountable for the safe and effective operational performance of:
- Atherton Hospital and (Millaa Millaa PHC, Malanda PHC, Forsyth PHC, Croydon PHC, Georgetown PHC)
- Mareeba Hospital (Offender Health, Dimbulah PHC, Chillagoe PHC)
- Innisfail Hospital
- Tully Hospital
- Mossman Multipurpose Health Service (Cow Bay)
- Gurriny Yealamucka Primary Health Care Centre (Yarrabah)
- Babinda Multipurpose Health Service
