Reporting to the General Manager Line 2 Assurance, you will be accountable for leading, co-ordinating and executing the Line 2 Assurance innovation strategy to deliver automation that drives efficient and effective focus on risks that matter.

As part of Risk Management, Operational Risk Assurance & Models (ORAM) ensures that the Group has appropriate strategies and frameworks in place to assess, manage and report on operational and model risks.

You will join the Line 2 Assurance team within the ORAM. Line 2 Assurance is a newly created team that is accountable for partnering with the Financial and Non-Financial Line 2 teams across the Group to create and execute the assurance strategy for Line 2 as well as innovating and automating Line 2 assurance activities. This role presents an opportunity to shape the future direction of a key discipline in Line 2.

You will be responsible for:

• Establishing and directing the delivery of Line 2 Assurance innovation strategy
• Overseeing delivery of proof of concepts and implementation of data analytics, data visualisation, automation and artificial intelligence initiatives
• Leading a group of BU/SU stakeholders to investigate, prioritise and establish business requirements for innovation opportunities
• Acting as a bridge between other innovation activities within ORAM, Risk Management, and across the Group to share best practices, identify further opportunities or areas of alignment and reduce time to market
• Working with those teams in Risk Management responsible for building automation and data science solutions to ensure our innovations meet requirements
• Driving the culture of innovation across Line 2, by organising roadshows to showcase signature initiatives and training sessions to upskill staff on data analytics capability

We’re interested in hearing from people who possess:

• Demonstrated and proven track record of identifying, prioritising and bringing automation opportunities to fruition;
• Strong knowledge and understanding of data analytics, robotics, machine learning and artificial intelligence and their applications;
• Exceptional communication skills with demonstrated capability in engaging with and managing stakeholders, competing priorities and influencing outcomes;
• Background working within Operational Risk, Line 3 or Line 2 assurance would be advantageous;
• Strategic thinking skills, ability to think conceptually, bringing together data and concepts from a variety of sources to identify insights and a course of action;
• Problem solving and execution ability
