As a part of St Vincent de Paul, Vincent Industries is an Australian Disability Enterprise (ADE), and provides work and training opportunities for those living with a disability in the North West of Tasmania. The business currently employs 40 individuals living with a range of physical and cognitive challenges, however emphasis at Vincent Industries focuses on people’s ability.
We are looking for an Executive Manager to oversee the daily operations of Vincent Industries to ensure that our enterprise processes and procedures are well-aligned in providing a supportive workplace to our employees, alongside a successful textile operation. This role manages our well-experienced team of Support Workers and Supported Employees and is supported strongly by St Vincent de Paul Society.
We require a team player with a contemporary management style that is adaptable to varying cohorts, with a focus on sustainability. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong understanding of operational management in an NDIS-compliant environment. Most importantly this role must ensure that Vincent Industries provides an inclusive, supportive and welcoming workplace for all and our ideal candidate would have experience in leading teams to deliver similar services.
Essential Requirements
- Experience in the disability or community services industry
- Demonstrated experience as a leader of people-focused teams
- Sound knowledge of NDIS practices and standards
- Exceptional communication skills both written and oral, ensuring compassion and alignment to our values with every interaction
- Knowledge of operational management processes including; WHS, HR, risk, finance, logistics and procurement
- Contemporary management style that is adaptable to varying cohorts, with a focus on innovation and sustainability.
- A positive team player with a solutions-focused mindset
- Competent with Microsoft applications and willingness to learn new applications and systems
- Ability to manage competing deadlines and priorities, thinking ahead and identifying potential issues, while adopting a flexible approach as required
- Strong commitment to confidentiality and an understanding of privacy principles
- Ability to build, foster and manage relationships with key stakeholders and other like-minded organisations
- Motivation and willingness to be part of the greater Society Team and collaborate appropriately
- Fundamentally, a can-do attitude and commitment to the values of St Vincent de Paul Society in achieving against our purpose.
The successful applicant must hold a current compliant National Police Check, along with a valid Working with Vulnerable People Card (NDIS Endorsed) or the ability to obtain. You must also hold a Driver's Licence with no restrictions.
