Who we are:
The Shire of Ngaanyatjarraku is responsible for the provision of "mainstream" local government and delivery of services to the ten communities and visitors within its boundaries. The Shire encompasses an area of 159,948 square kilometres and is located approximately 1542km from Perth. The Shire offices are located in the Tjuljuru Cultural and Civic Centre in Warburton.
The Shire has an excellent opportunity for an experienced and personable Executive Officer. The role will suit a highly organised and excellent communicator, who can anticipate the needs of the CEO and Senior Management.
Key responsibilities of the position include:
- Management of the CEO's diary.
- Preparation of agendas, minutes and papers for executive team meetings.
- Working closely with CEO and Directors to keep them well informed of upcoming commitments and responsibilities.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including council members, community groups, and government agencies.
- Assisting the Executive Management Team with relevant aspects of governance and administration.
- Manage internal and external CEO communications on behalf of the CEO.
- Complying with relevant legislation regarding documentation and record keeping and ensure a high standard of general housekeeping is maintained for the area.
To be successful in this position you will:
- Have experience in a similar position providing executive support preferably to a CEO or equivalent.
- Be highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word and Excel, and the ability to produce documents to a high standard.
- Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication.
- Have the ability to think quickly and effectively under pressure.
- Be able to work independently.
Remuneration Package
- Total remuneration package in the range of $85,000 - $95,000
- Local Government Industry Award 2020 Industrial Agreement - Level 6
- Annual Leave five (5) weeks.
- Uniforms provided.
- Furnished House including utilities when working from Warbuton.
