About the Position
The Executive Officer is responsible for providing confidential, high-level executive and administrative support to the General Manager of the Fair Work Commission.
Duties
- The Executive Officer will flexibly undertake responsibilities associated with:
- High-level administration support.
- Complex diary management, including prioritising time and drawing attention to matters of importance or of a sensitive and/or complex nature.
- Preparing written materials to a high standard paying particular attention to detail.
- Coordinating meetings including the preparation of meeting agendas, collating, and distributing papers, and taking minutes for the Commission’s Executive Committee, and other key stakeholder and/or advisory group meetings as required.
- Coordinating travel arrangements including reconciling expenditure and financial processing in accordance with Commission financial policies and procedures.
- Coordinating and contributing to the General Manager’s preparation for Senate Estimates and Committee Inquiries.
- Managing electronic and hard copy incoming and outgoing correspondence and any associated paperwork on behalf of the General Manager.
- Be the first point of contact for phone and other enquiries for the General Manager’s office, screening and prioritising as needed.
- Undertake complex project and research work as required.
- Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders, including Executive Directors across the Commission, to achieve work and organisational goals.
- Record keeping in compliance with legislative obligations and internal policy frameworks.
- Other duties as directed by the General Manager.
