This well-known and iconic Multi-purpose Sporting, Hospitality, Gaming and Wagering venue has been a local institution for many patrons, participants, and its members over several years in the southeastern parts of Melbourne. They offer everything from Sport, Hospitality including Food and Beverage, Dining (formal and casual), Functions and Events to Gaming and Wagering. As they continue to grow and evolve and have been a major part and contributor to the local community, they are now seeking a General Manager/CEO with significant hospitality experience who will lead and grow this iconic business with innovative, creative, and financially viable capabilities and ideas.
The Role
Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, you will lead and develop a large team both directly and indirectly and will be responsible for the overall delivery of this organisations strategic and financial objectives. You will play an integral part of its future plans by ensuring all aspects of service delivery to patrons, members and the broader community are of the highest standard. This will include a significant focus on people development, stakeholder engagement both internally and externally, and the ability to continually grow this highly popular and financially viable multi-purpose venue with creative and innovative ideas. You will also work closely with the Key Executives and Staff across the venue and be prepared to take on additional responsibilities as required. Additionally, you will serve as Secretary to the Board.
Your Profile/Background
You will be tertiary qualified with post graduate qualifications and MUST have a proven track record as a General Manager/MD/CEO, preferably but not limited to Hospitality, Sport/Leisure or Not For Profit sectors reporting directly to a Board of Directors. You will possess superior leadership skills in developing people, together with an outstanding ability to build strong relationships and rapport with key stakeholders both internally and externally. Your exceptional commercial and financial acumen, strategic agility, together with a strong understanding of compliance related matters more specifically Food Service, Liquor Licensing and Gaming, will ensure you are a strong contender for this exciting and pivotal position.
