We have an exciting opportunity for a driven, self-motivated, Experienced Accountant to join our team. We are looking for someone who is client focused and team orientated.
As our new Accountant your focus will be to:
- Assist with the completion and submission of company, individual, partnership, trust, and SMSF tax returns
- Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual BAS/IAS returns
- Preparation of financial statements
- Liaise with the ATO as required by clients and senior staff
- Provide taxation advice in communications with clients
- Assist with the preparation of cashflow forecasts, letters, business plans, correspondence, reports, and other documents as needed
- Other general administrative tasks where required by senior staff
- Ensuring your professional knowledge is at the standard require
- Care for our existing clients
The following qualifications & experience are required to be eligible for this role:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Australian public practice
- A degree or certificate in Business or Commerce (or working towards)
- CA or CPA qualified or intentions to become qualified in the near future

- Strong attention to detail and the ability to produce high quality work with high accuracy
- Demonstrated ability to build strong, open and collaborative working relationships to achieve the best possible outcomes for Accru and our clients
- Demonstrated ability to plan, prioritise, schedule work targets / activities with minimum supervision to meet agreed targets
- Proficiency in IT and computer skills, specifically with Microsoft Office
- Experience with Xero and other accounting software platforms
- Self-initiative and self-motivated
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with customers & clients
