The Glen Iris and Armadale Veterinary Hospitals are esteemed in the veterinary field for their exceptional standards of care and commitment to fostering the growth and expertise of our nursing team. Operating across two hospitals located approximately 2km apart, with a combined team of 11 veterinarians, our facilities are equipped with state-of-the-art resources. These include digital x-rays, advanced ultrasound technology, doppler blood pressure monitors, laparoscopic and endoscopic instruments, a comprehensive Idexx in-house lab, and top-tier microscopes. Our anesthesia monitoring equipment is outfitted with SpO2, ECG, BP, and ETCO2 capabilities. Moreover, we hold accreditation from the ASAVA as a hospital of excellence, upholding the highest standards of surgical care and professional integrity, even when no one is watching. And yes, we do enjoy a good laugh!
The ideal candidate will possess:
- 3 years of relevant experience
- Certificate IV qualification or equivalent
- Strong self-motivation
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to thrive independently and under pressure within a rapidly evolving clinical setting
- Proficiency in multitasking and managing day-to-day responsibilities, including inpatient care
- A knack for putting clients and their pets at ease, making them feel valued and comfortable
- Willingness to assist and mentor trainee nurses daily
