About the roleOrica North Surface Coal is flourishing, and we're on the hunt for a passionate Site Project Manager to join our high-performing Queensland Team. This role will be based in one of our very new sites in Central QLD not far from Emerald, and will be on a 5/2 (Monday-Friday) roster.As a Site Project Manager, you are the linchpin of our business, fostering strong customer relationships, leading teams of Blasting Professionals and Operators, and ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of our services. What you will be doing Champion our most vital value: "Safety is our Priority, Always."Provide leadership, guidance and development to the blast crew.Train and mentor blast crew in safe and effective blasting, enhancing their skills and expertise.Collaborate closely with our customer leadership team.Supervise and manage blast plans, including drilling, loading, timing, and initiation, to achieve fragmentation and minimize environmental impact.Comply with safety standards for blasting activities to prevent harm and damage.Act with unwavering integrity and respect at all times. What you will bring A firm commitment to our primary value: Safety is the priority, always.Previous success in operational leadership or supervisory roles.Knowledge and/or experience in Drill & Blast is highly advantageous.Communicate clearly and openly, setting expectations, providing constructive feedback, and aligning their team with their vision and goals.
