Form of workTWK Steel is CC3-accredited steel fabricator located in Western Sydney. We mainly work on civil infrastructure projects and steel structural fabrication. We are currently looking for a candidate to join our team. We are currently looking for a candidate to fill our position.
Key Area of Work:
- To supervise all fabrication activities to ensure that it meets all specifications as specified on the fabrication drawings.
- To ensure that all product items are identified as per client instructions and company procedures
- Monitor and manage employee productivity. To monitor actual production hours against budgeted hours
- Assisting with the planning and organising of production schedules
- Follow through company fabrication and quality procedure
- Allocation of resources and materials.
- Ensuring all Quality, WHS and Environmental systems policies and procedures are adhered to by all workshop personnel
- Ensure the proper use of equipment and materials to avoid potential hazards.
- Maintaining productivity and cost-effectiveness for all workshop-allocated jobs
- To discipline personnel as and when required according to company procedures
- Supervision, training and guidance of apprentices as required
- Hands-on Welding & Fabricating
Skills & Experience Needed
- Trade Qualification
- Solid experience 10+ years in workshop leading role
- Welding Supervisor 2214 & AS1796 Cert 10 (desirable)
- A good understanding of ISO 3834, ISO 9001 and CC3 requirements
- Sound working knowledge of plate work, structural Steel Fabrication and construction work
- Demonstrate ability to understand and work from technical drawings.
