The Small Animal Specialist Hospital (SASH) was established 14 years ago. Our North Ryde headquarters is the largest referral facility in the southern hemisphere. SASH also has two other hospitals, SASH Central Coast and our newly opened facility in Adelaide opened late 2021. Our core purpose is to help pets and their families live their best life and we have the privilege of caring for over 20,000 pets and their families each year.
With the recent and continuous growth of the business, our finance team has identified the need to expand our team to better service the needs of the business. We have an exciting opportunity for someone looking for a Senior Financial Analyst position in a supportive, dynamic, and hardworking team. About the Role:
We are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to be part of SASH’s FP&A team in Sydney. Reporting into the Commercial Manager, this role is responsible for the preparation of budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, reporting and analysis, helping to drive business performance and to support the delivery of SASH’s growth strategy.
Further to this you will be involved in but not limited to the following:
- Assist in the preparation of the Company’s Annual Budgets and Forecasts
- Prepare consistent monthly management reporting/KPIs against set targets for review and use by Operations Managers and Leadership Team
- Business partner Operations Managers / Heads of Service / Heads of Department in improving their Department’s financial performance by analysing Actuals against Plan/Forecasts, monitoring variances, identifying trends and recommending actions to management.
- Co-ordinate with key stakeholders to prepare monthly Board reporting
- Become an EzyVet Super User including working with key stakeholders to improve current process and reporting from EzyVet
- Business case and capex analysis
- Continuous review and improvement of management reporting to ensure they are fit for purpose and facilitate sound commercial decisions
- Other ad hoc project support and analysis to facilitate decision making and planning
About You:

To be successful, you will have:
- Management accounting or financial analysis experience
- Strong analytical skills – able to interpret and analyse performance data and make insightful, value-adding insights to Business Partners
- Advanced MS Excel spreadsheet and modelling skills. Proficiency in MS Word and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work autonomously, show initiative and work productively within a team environment
- Exceptional communication skills and ability to communicate with a wide variety of people at all levels
- Ability to adapt easily to change and prioritise multiple tasks and meet multiple deadlines
- Commitment to providing excellent service
- Adept at problem solving including the ability to identify issues and resolve them in a timely manner
- Possess exceptional interpersonal skills
- High-level organisational skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Tertiary qualified in Accounting/Finance with CA/CPA preferred
- Proficiency in IBM Planning Analytics (TM1) is strongly desirable
