As a result of our continued growth and success, we are look for a qualified Fabrication Supervisor to join and strengthen our team at our Hope Valley workshop. We have availability to consider suitable candidates to cover both day and night shift rotations.
As a Fabrication Supervisor, you will report and work closely with the Workshop Manager to ensure quality and timely delivery of projects. We are looking for our Fabrication Supervisor to display strong leadership skills, the ability to supervise and allocate work task to our fabrication team and closely mentor and guide our apprentices.
Duties but not limited to:
- Plan, implement and coordinate the fabrication workshop activities in line with client deadlines.
- Supervise and allocate tasks to our workshop personnel.
- Mentor, guide and support the team to deliver desired outcomes.
- Ensure HSE policies and procedures are adhered to, providing feedback on recommended continuous improvement initiatives.
- Drive efficiencies, ensuring works are delivered on time and to client expectations.
- Liaise with the Project & Quality teams to deliver the required scope of work.
- Liaise with Workshop Manager to ensure the workshop has all the resources required to complete projects in a timely manner.
Essential
- Certificate III in Engineering - Boilermaker/Welder Trade or Bachelor Mechanical or Structural Engineering
- A minimum 6 years’ experience in heavy steel fabrication environment
- A minimum of 2 years workshop supervision experience
- Experience with fabrication and welding of structural steel work, piping and platework.
- Extensive knowledge of fabrication and welding techniques and principles
- Forklift, dogging, rigging, Franna and telehandler tickets desirable.
- IT literate experience with MS Office Suites
- Knowledge of STRIMUS highly regarded.
