Workshop Fabrication Supervisor
The Company
Technical Maintenance Support are an independently owned and operated progressive company based in Geraldton, Perth and Kalgoorlie Western Australia.
Due to an increased work volume and progressive growth we have now opened a fabrication workshop in Perth.
We conduct a wide variety of specialised services, mostly to fixed plant mining equipment throughout the Midwest, Southwest and Pilbara.
The Role
In order to support our company’s vision for future development we are seeking the skills of a suitably qualified Workshop Fabrication Supervisor for our new Perth Workshop to lead our team of tradesman.
You will be responsible in assisting with the planning & scheduling of fabrication works and to ensure the workshop runs at optimum performance.
Your Responsibilities
- Work to maintain workshop schedules in line with our short term and long-term objectives
- Provide communication between Management and the workshop team to ensure on-time completion of works
- Strong communication skills with the workshop team in order to plan and deliver daily and weekly targets
- Maintain and foster a working environment which prompts safety in all that we do whilst also providing outstanding service
- Ensure all work is completed to the highest of qualities
- Visits to metro site areas to provide quoting and scoping assistance.
- Monthly consumable reporting for management
Your Experience and skills
- Australian recognised trade certificate
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in a supervisory workshop role.
- Demonstrate experience in planning, scheduling within a workshop environment
- Ability to lead, develop and mentor
- Planning, organising & problem solving skills
- Conflict & time management and strong communication skills
- Intermediate MS office skills, drawing programme knowledge an advantage
- Current C class licence, Forklift and WP tickets advantageous
Roster
Monday to Friday with an occasional Saturday at workshop based in Perth
