This is a full time position working 9 days per fortnight (average 38 hrs per week).
Hours of operation are :
Week 1 - 7:00 am - 4:00 pm (Monday - Thursday) and 7.00am -3.30pm (Friday)
Week 2 - 7:00 am - 4:00 pm (Monday - Thursday) and RDO (Friday)
The role's primary purpose is to perform the welding tasks of parts required for Patriot Campers' range of products and meet production deadlines whilst ensuring the highest quality workmanship. This is a full-time position.
Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the Welder include, but are not limited to;
Follow work instructions to fabricate and finish aluminum sub-assemblies
Pulse Mig and Tig welding
Good finishing skills and eye for detail
Learn and follow company procedures
Take an active role in the Fabrication team to achieve the delivery schedule
Develop an understanding of the manufacturing process
Willingness to mentor and coach apprentices
Skills
MIG and TIG welding skills are essential.

Safety conscious, with a sound understanding and is up to date with all WHS policies and procedures

Prioritise, work efficiently and productively, and time management skills
Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings
Ability to demonstrate high attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to carry out other metal fabrication duties, i.e. marking out, grinding, oxy/plasma cutting, sawing, guillotining, drilling, painting etc.
Ability to work efficiently and independently; responsible for task completion
Qualifications and experience
Required
Minimum Trade Certificate – Certificate III Engineering - Fabrication (or prior equivalent)
Experience with various grades of Steel, Aluminium and Stainless Steel
Assembly, fabrication and welding - experience in light and medium fabrication
