The principal objective of this position is to develop and facilitate Men’s Behavioural Change programs in alignment with the No to Violence (NTV) and Department of Justice NSW Standards, and the National Plan for addressing domestic violence. The target client group for this activity are voluntary and mandated male clients who have engaged in Family Violence and are committed to changing their violent behaviour through their attendance in this program.
About The Role
Working as part of our team some key responsibilities include but is not limited to:
- Assist in the development and delivery of the Men’s Behavioural Change programs in accordance with the minimum standards.
- Plan the sessions within an integrated multidisciplinary framework.
- Conduct and document initial and subsequent risk assessments for the program participants.
- Initiate contact with program participants prior to the commencement of the program ensuring the accountability of men who continue to use violence.
- Proactively communicate or identify any observed risks or issues arising in the group including, safety or critical incidents to the Program Manager.
- Identify, respond and report to safety risks for women, (ex) partners, relevant family members and children following established protocols, as directed.

Requirements - To be eligible to submit your application for this position applicants must have:
Essential Criteria
- A Bachelor degree or Vocational Qualification (Cert IV or equivalent) in Social Work, Community Services, Psychology or other relevant field.
- A minimum of two years’ professional experience working in the domestic and Family Violence sector.
- ECAV Graduate Certificate in Men’s Behaviour Change Individual and Group Work Interventions or willingness to obtain.
- Demonstrated skills and experience in facilitating Men’s Behaviour Change Programs (including undertaking clinical supervision) for at least 200 hours.
- Eligibility for membership of a relevant professional body.
