The Opportunity
Reporting to the Senior Engineer – Field Engineering, you will join a collaborative and supportive team, where your focus will be to ensure the successful delivery of key services across site including security, cleaning, grounds maintenance, waste management and pest control through our service providers. You will also support the coordination of maintenance and minor capital works, ensuring safety, regulatory compliance, and customer satisfaction.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Liaise and collaborate with service providers in the execution of contracts, ensuring vendors comply with and fulfill contractual obligations and address any issues or disputes that may arise.
  • Maintain consistent communication with internal and external stakeholders and implement measures to sustain and enhance the quality of services provided under contracts.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable safety, legal and regulatory requirements, keeping accurate records of contract related activities.
  • Manage costs associated with service contracts, making sure they align with agreed budgets, and that invoices are processed in a timely manner.
  • Monitor and assess performance to uphold standards in accordance with agreed key performance indicators and customer expectations.
  • Support contract renewals and negotiations to align terms with evolving site needs, and identify potential risks associated with service contracts and implement proactive strategies for mitigation.
  • Drive continuous improvement by developing and implementing comprehensive standards and procedures aligned with industry best practices.
About you
You possess a relevant qualification (trade certificate, degree, or diploma) with previous facilities management experience preferably in a heavy industry environment.
In addition, you possess:
  • A robust commitment to safety, underpinned by knowledge of safe work methods and practices.
  • Proven problem solving, planning and project management skills.
  • Demonstrated commercial acumen and understanding of contracts.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with an ability to build effective working relationships.
  • Experience in Enterprise Resource Planning software (preferably JD Edwards or SAP).
  • Sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office package.
