Our large Government client is seeking an experienced Facilities ICT Support (level 5) based in Canberra.Responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
- Uses appropriate management tools to plan, record and manage the types infrastructure, including ICT, associated power needs, space and cooling requirements, usage and actions etc. to meet targets/requirements
- Develops and maintain the standards, processes and documentation for facilities management
- Ensures adherence to all relevant policies and processes
- Provides technical expertise to enable the correct application of operational procedures
- Contributes to the planning and implementation of maintenance and installation of work including building and configuration of infrastructure components
- Identifies operational problems and contributes to their resolution, checking that they are managed in accordance with agreed standards and processes
- Provide guidance for the design and implementation of ICT infrastructure solution that adhere to current Architectural Standards in order to support current and future systems and services
- Strong understanding of network architecture and security concepts
- Understanding of Active Networking design - LAN/WAN
- Understanding of Passive network cabling infrastructure
- Understanding of security protocol and policies
The role is based in Canberra ACT, with a contract term of 12 months.Security Requirements
