The Opportunity:

The Facilities Operations Manager is responsible for leading the delivery of all FM services within a portfolio of assets to a consistently high standard.  You will manage a team of in-house technicians, team leaders, and external service providers who deliver hard and soft FM service.  You will have full financial accountability for your geographical area, which encapsulates Shepparton, Echuca, Swan Hill and Seymour.  Services will include cleaning, pest control, building security, repairs and maintenance, waste management, car parking, utility management and signage.

Your responsibilities will entail the following:

  • Transitioning, leading, managing and developing a diverse team of technicians, facilities management professionals, operational team leaders and third-party contractors.  The no of direct employees will equate to circa 100 - 120 staff.
  • Driving a proactive, responsible and efficient FM service with a 'Customer First' and 'Safety First' mentality across the region.
  • Identifying and developing talent to build a talent pipeline for the future.
  • Fostering a culture of continuous improvement, learning and development.
  • Managing performance and service level agreements, P&L and acting as the escalation point when situations arise.
  • Rostering and timesheet management of Technicians & Apprentices.  Support Team Leaders in developing and optimising rosters and payroll processing for Proactive Services.
  • Compliance and risk management
  • Building fabulous stakeholder relationships and a proactive customer-service approach to requirements.
