About the role
As a Facilities Service Officer, you will be responsible for the day-to-day housekeeping of the Town Hall and Council's offsite venues. Our Facilites Service Officer’s ensure Council staff and external customers received service excellence when using Council facilities.
Reporting to the Facilities Services Team Leader, you will:
- Set up/dismantle meeting rooms and functions, including tables and chairs, AV equipment and coffee stations
- Ensure equipment is functional and adhering to OH&S guidelines.
- Liaise with the public, event organisers, external users and Council staff
- In the event of an emergency, act as the Fire Warden and help coordinate the organisation's Emergency Management Plan
This position may require you to work during weekends and evening hours and across several facilities within the Municipality as and when needed.
Who we are looking for:
We are looking for an individual who is proactive, efficient and results focused with exceptional customer service skills and attention to detail.
You must be able to work autonomously and manage your own time in the face of competing demands.
The following is also required:
- Excellent oral communication skills with hirers, guests, and staff
- Knowledge of and ability to trouble shoot audio visual systems and technologies
- Skills in managing time, setting priorities and planning
- Understanding of Occupational Health & Safety procedures
- Experience in the Service Industry
- A current Victorian Drivers licence

The interviews will take place between Monday, 17 June and Friday, 21 June 2024, between 9am and 5pm .

- Evidence of right to work in Australia.
