About the Opportunity:
St Vincent's Care Services Hawthorn (formally and locally known as Mary Mackillop Aged Care) is a 91 bed facility located in Hawthorn East, just 7km from Melbourne's city centre with the added convenience of Camberwell Junction right around the corner.
As the Facility Manager you'll be responsible for the day-to-day operational management of all aspects of the St Vincent's Care Services Hawthorn facility. Your role will include maintaining exceptional performance standards, leading your team to success and ensuring every resident feels welcomed, engaged and supported. Reporting to the Victorian State Manager, you will also have the support of centralised centres of excellence as part of a national, progressive healthcare organisation.

Key responsibilities of the role:
- Leading your team to provide ongoing professional care and holistic support for residents
- Operational performance of the facility including accreditation, financial budgets, staffing, safety etc.
- Consistently maintaining quality and accreditation guidelines
- Ensuring reporting requirements are met
- Safeguarding and maintaining occupancy levels
- Maintaining a happy and homelike environment underpinned by Christian values
Things that work for us:
- Dynamic leaderships with a continual focus on improvement
- Demonstrated experience leading an Aged Care Facility or Regional Manager role (essential)
- AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (highly regarded though not essential)
- Understanding, exposure and management of the Aged Care Funding Instrument, Aged Care Legislation and Facility Accreditation
- Commercial acumen and solid knowledge of the key business drivers of aged care
- Ability to foster a safe workplace and drive continuous quality improvement initiatives to develop sustainable practice
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders at various levels;
- Ability to lead and motivate a team to success and high quality performance
- An understanding of the culture and tradition of Catholic Health, including a commitment to the Mission, Vision and Values of the organisation and an ability to promote the behavioural expectations in line with this philosophy
- Current National Police Certificate
- NDIS Worker Screening Check may be a requirement of this role.
