Facility Supervisor

Location: 23 Clarence Crescent, Coffs Harbour, NSW 2450
Salary:$70,000 - $80,000 plus 11% superannuation
Our client, Sohi Produce Pty Ltd. The Trustee for Sohi Family Trust, is a leading provider of high-quality blueberries, committed to sustainable farming practices and delivering fresh produce to customers.
Sohi Produce is a family-owned business dedicated to producing the finest blueberries in the region. The client is currently seeking a Facilities Supervisor to join its team to ensure the smooth operation and maintenance of the facilities.
With a strong focus on customer service, product quality and safety, the company takes pride in their ability to deliver the freshest, highest quality produce direct from the Coffs Harbour.
This position entails ensuring the correct handling of product to meet the customers’ requirements including grading, packing, cool chain, hygiene and dispatch.
Minimum Requirements:
• AQF Diploma
• 3 years experience in related field
In this role your main responsibilities include:
• Ensure correct handling of product to meet customers’ requirements including grading, packing, cool chain, hygiene and dispatch
• Assess incoming product regarding quality and determine grading resources
• Oversee the maintenance of farm equipment and infrastructure, including regular inspections and repairs
• Monitor quality of product through various stages in production shed, washing, 1st, 2nd and final grading
• Rectify any issues due to mechanical damage / grading quality
• Liaise with Harvest Supervisor / Maintenance Manager / Dispatch Manager
• Ensure all Quality Assurance (QA) records are correct, allowing for complete traceability
• Manage correct cool chain when handling and dispatch of product
• Ensure all personnel are trained and performing as per standard procedure
• Ensure all waste products are handled as per standard procedure
• Ensure all dispatches are as per standard procedure
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and expenditures.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of farm activities, inventory, and equipment maintenance schedules.
• Implement safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all employees
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings
To be considered for this role you must have:
• Ability to effectively manage facilities
• Previous experience in facilities management or a related field.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage a team.
• Knowledge of agricultural practices, including crop cultivation, irrigation techniques, and pest management.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge of agricultural equipment and machinery is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
