Factory Manager

We have a fantastic opportunity for a dynamic and energetic leader to join Huon in the role of Factory Manager, leading an amazing and talented team at our value adding processing facility based at Ingleburn.

The role

Reporting to the National Processing Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient day-to-day operations of this facility, ensuring high quality and timely delivery of daily customer orders across our value added lines. A focus on continuous process improvement will see you be successful in this role.

As Factory Manager, you will:

• Provide proactive management leading and coaching your team to achieve production targets and ensure Safety and wellbeing is a major focus, keeping our people safe.
• Lead and maintain an exceptional standard for Food Safety and Quality and Hygiene, and coach your team to uphold Huon’s standards.
• Drive production growth and manage asset capacity to ensure high quality standards are delivered.
• Implement best practice strategies that maximise factory efficiency leveraging processes, systems, and technology.

About you

• You have broad experience managing large and diverse teams in a food processing environment and thrive on the fast paced and dynamic nature of factory life!
• Your experience allows you to make confident, timely, and accurate decisions, problem solve, and meet competing deadlines.
• You’re a natural communicator who enjoys building strong relationships with stakeholders across your organisation and in your marketplace. You influence, coach, and manage people effectively, allowing your people the best opportunity to meet business requirements, and embrace change as an opportunity to enhance the employee experience.
• You have strong forecasting, planning, and budgeting skills, and feel at ease presenting to others when required, and are proficient with MO Suite and able to quickly learn new systems.
