We provide advice and representation in all aspects of Family Law and both Practice Directors have their Masters in Family Law. They are experienced in both “run of the mill” family law matters and complex matters such as Hague Convention Applications, international relocation, Child Support matters, Binding Financial Agreements and Appeals.
We are currently seeking a Family Lawyer to complement our expanding and dynamic team. This is a rare opportunity for a motivated Family Lawyer to work in the Mandurah area with two highly experienced Directors who have a solid reputation in the region.
Mandurah is a thriving and expanding coastal community and is Western Australia’s largest regional city, offering a relaxed coastal lifestyle and a unique work/life balance opportunity. This position is open to practitioners who live within and outside of Mandurah. The advantage of Mandurah is that the drive to and from is stress-free as there is rarely any traffic!
The Position
The position is for a full-time Family Lawyer. Our firm office hours are 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday.
The Directors would prefer a Lawyer who has between 2-5 years PAE who are ideally at Associate or Senior Associate Level.
To be considered for position with us, you will need to:
- Have completed your Law Degree and have a current Practising Certificate from the Legal Practice Board of WA
- Have experience (or an interest) in Family Law
- Have strong interpersonal, written and communication skills
- Have empathy and compassion for clients going through Family Law matters
- Be enthusiastic and willing to work as part of a team
Your duties will include:
- The day-to-day running of files with the assistance and supervision of the Directors
- Drafting Court documents and correspondence
- Assisting the Directors with their files, if required
- Obtaining instructions and liaising with clients
- Appearing in the Family Court of Western Australia for Directions or Monitoring Hearings, and appearing with the Directors for more complicated Hearings
