As a Bookkeeper for this diversified Family OfficeReal Estate investor, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, managing transactions, and providing essential support to financial operations.
Reporting directly to the CFO, you will be responsible for ensuring that all financial activities are recorded and reported accurately and in a timely manner.
Role
- Financial Recording: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for various Real Estate investments, including income, expenses, and transactions.
- Accounts Payable and Receivable: Process invoices, payments, and receipts related to property management, utilities, taxes, and other expenses. Follow up on outstanding payments and reconcile accounts as needed.
- Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
- General Ledger Maintenance: Assist in the preparation of journal entries and the maintenance of the general ledger to reflect the financial activities of the Real Estate investments.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, to provide insights into the financial performance of the Real Estate portfolio.
- Assist in Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with the CFO to develop budgets and forecasts.
- Documentation and Compliance: Maintain organised records and documentation related to Real Estate transactions, leases, contracts, and regulatory compliance requirements.
Person
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper/accountant, preferably in Real Estate/Family Office or a related field.
- Excellent communication ability with senior executives.
- Proficiency in Xero and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks effectively.
- Knowledge of Real Estate transactions and title documentation is a plus.
- Family office experience desirable.
