  • Location   : Werribee and Melton 
  • Salary      : $110,907 to $115,537 plus superannuation and salary packaging options

About the role

The Family Violence Program Manager will be responsible for working closely in partnership with VACCA Leadership group, the broader Family Violence program team and The Orange Door Hub Manager to lead high quality, culturally safe and effective responses to Aboriginal people seeking support around Family Violence services within both VACCA and the Orange Door. Additionally, the role will work to build and maintain effective partnerships with Aboriginal services and communities within the VACCA and Networks to support for Aboriginal people.

The role will provide efficient and professional operational management and provide leadership and expert advice on culturally safe and inclusive specialist Family Violence services, child and family services and perpetrator interventions. 

About You

  • Demonstrated commitment and understanding for the values that underpin VACCA’ vision and purpose.
  • Demonstrated and proven leadership capabilities including experience in successfully developing, managing, and motivating large teams.
  • Demonstrated experience in program implementation, service planning and delivery, including monitoring, evaluation and maintenance of applicable standards and statutory compliance requirements.
  • Strong organisational, analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills including the capacity to negotiate and work effectively with a range of individuals and organisations to facilitate the effective delivery of organisational and program objectives.
  • Highly developed leadership, negotiation and relationship building skills; has deep understanding of the role of the law and legal system in the context of responding to Family Violence; has knowledge of practice with Aboriginal women, children, families, victims and perpetrators of Family Violence; has experience working in multi-disciplinary and multi-agency contexts
  • Demonstrate experience and an in depth understanding and application of Family Violence and Child Well-being, frameworks, models, approaches, theories and practice when dealing with clients, including an in depth understanding of Family Violence risk assessment and management in line with the MARAM framework.
  • Established expertise and capability to lead and embed culturally safe and responsive practice as part of an integrated service model of collaborative service delivery and quality clinical practice in the Hubs.
  • Ability to use initiative, work under pressure, and use sound professional judgement in decision making. 
  • Requirements: Tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, welfare or a related discipline, a valid Victorian Driver's Licence, a current Working With Children Check, current COVID-19 vaccination (including booster dose as applicable).
