Who we are looking for?

This Account Manager role is an established, supported, full time position. We are looking for a proactive self-starter, who has experience and interest in driving the sales relationship in Federal Government accounts. Reporting to the Business Development Manager, you will be a hands-on team member with responsibility for responding to client requests, managing a group of ACT/NSW/VIC accounts and negotiating managed service renewals.

Key responsibilities (and not limited to):

• Provide Clients with project and upgrade proposals
• Negotiate managed service renewals
• Complete RFP/RFQ/RFI responses as required
• Provide service and support information to clients
• Maintain CRM and marketing platform leads, contacts and opportunities
• Learn technical aspects of multiple software products inc. CMS, LMS and ePortfolio
• Assist Business Development and Marketing Manager, as required

The successful candidate will have/be:

• 3+ years sales experience, either Account Management or Consulting
• Experience presenting and negotiating client proposals
• Federal and State Government consulting experience
• Outstanding attention to detail
• Excellent organisational skills and can meet deadlines
• Self-starter and proactive with a positive can do attitude
• Technology – demonstrated ability to work across multiple applications: CRMs and Marketing Platforms
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred but not essential:

• Knowledge and understanding of Open Source software
• Knowledge and understanding of eLearning tools and platforms
• Baseline security clearance with ability and willingness to obtain Negative Vetting Level 1 and above
• Knowledge of and experience in the Higher Education sector
