Who we are looking for?
This Account Manager role is an established, supported, full time position. We are looking for a proactive self-starter, who has experience and interest in driving the sales relationship in Federal Government accounts. Reporting to the Business Development Manager, you will be a hands-on team member with responsibility for responding to client requests, managing a group of ACT/NSW/VIC accounts and negotiating managed service renewals.
Key responsibilities (and not limited to):
- Provide Clients with project and upgrade proposals
- Negotiate managed service renewals
- Complete RFP/RFQ/RFI responses as required
- Provide service and support information to clients
- Maintain CRM and marketing platform leads, contacts and opportunities
- Learn technical aspects of multiple software products inc. CMS, LMS and ePortfolio
- Assist Business Development and Marketing Manager, as required
The successful candidate will have/be:
- 3+ years sales experience, either Account Management or Consulting
- Experience presenting and negotiating client proposals
- Federal and State Government consulting experience
- Outstanding attention to detail
- Excellent organisational skills and can meet deadlines
- Self-starter and proactive with a positive can do attitude
- Technology – demonstrated ability to work across multiple applications: CRMs and Marketing Platforms
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred but not essential:
- Knowledge and understanding of Open Source software
- Knowledge and understanding of eLearning tools and platforms
- Baseline security clearance with ability and willingness to obtain Negative Vetting Level 1 and above
- Knowledge of and experience in the Higher Education sector
