Field Quality Engineer – Automotive

Due to continued growth, we have an exciting career advancing opportunity for an enthusiastic, proactive, and experienced Field Quality Engineer – Automotive to become part of our collaborative professional team. 

In this role you will be providing specialist parts & accessories quality knowledge and support to Hyundai and Kia Australia and to the network of Dealer Parts teams and other stakeholders in regards to all aspects of Kia and Hyundai parts/accessories quality requirements.

Working closely with the Quality team in India your key responsibilities will include:

• Build and maintain excellent working relationships with the Hyundai and Kia Quality team with open exchange of information relating to parts quality.
• To improve the quality of Mobis developed parts by analysing concerns reported by Dealers/customers.
• Conduct field inspections and assessments to identify quality issues and root causes.
• Analyze field data and performance metrics to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
• Investigate any Mobis parts quality issues with the use of specialist diagnostic equipment wherever necessary.
• To Coordinate with Hyundai and Kia technical team as per quality work requirements.
• To visit Hyundai and Kia dealerships as in conjunction with their technical teams to analyse vehicle problems reported by customers.
• To assist Kia and Hyundai technical team to resolve critical customer’s complaints.
• To train technical staff about diagnosis procedure of Mobis developed parts to reduce false and repetitive repair.
• To report on a weekly basis to India Quality team regarding Mobis developed parts issues.
• Act as a liaison between the customer and internal teams to ensure effective communication and resolution of quality issues
• Participate in product design reviews and risk assessments to proactively identify potential quality issues

About the Ideal Candidate:

To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate the following:

• 3-5 years experience in an Automotive Aftersales Parts/Technical Service  role within the automotive industry.
• Sound automotive technical Parts diagnosis knowledge & fault finding ability.
• Minimum 3 years of  Electric Vehicle handling technical/diagnostic exposure highly advantageous.
• Ability to analyse parts/accessories concern in detail and to find out the root cause.
• Strong communication skills and relationship building/ follow up ability. 
• Dedicated to providing quality customer focused outcomes.
• Strong planning and organisational skills with attention to detail
• Self-motivated and have the ability to work autonomously
• Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft programs.
• Highly organised and efficient.
• Full Australian driving licence & working rights is essential.
