About The Opportunity
This Field Service role will service Southeast/Central QLD
The primary purpose of this position is to repair, maintain, and service diesel engines and related components, ensuring their optimal performance and reliability.
Reporting directly to the Site Supervisor some of your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting diagnostic tests and inspections to identify issues and determine necessary repairs.
- Repairing and maintaining diesel engines, including fuel systems, cooling systems, exhaust systems, and electrical systems.
- Troubleshooting and resolving mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic problems in diesel-powered equipment.
- Conducting regular maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks.
- Keeping accurate records of repairs, maintenance activities, and parts inventory.
- Adhering to safety protocols and maintaining a clean and organised work environment.
The successful candidate will have:
- Previous mine site experience in a similar role
- Previous experience repairing and maintaining Caterpillar equipment.
- Completed a trade qualification as a Diesel Fitter/Mechanic
- Willing to obtain a Pre-Employment Medical upon successful hire
- Ability to demonstrate reliability and consistently deliver high-quality work, ensuring efficient and effective repairs and maintenance of diesel engines.
- A collaborative approach by working effectively as part of a team, sharing knowledge, and communicating effectively to achieve common goals.
- Initiative by proactively identifying and addressing issues, seeking continuous improvement opportunities, and staying updated on industry advancements to provide top-notch service.
