Field Service Technician

IntroductionWe are seeking a Field Service Technician to join our Service Operations Support team. You will be responsible for providing hands on mechanical service work to our clients and being the technical liaison between the client, product division and our sales team. Your role plays a crucial part in performing and coordinating service activities relating to our machines, spares and wears - keeping our clients operating at full capacity.This position is located in Orange, NSW, and will service this region. Some interstate and possible international travel may be required. You will report to the Field Service Supervisor.Team you belong toYou will join a team who provides support for Screens and Pumps. We work closely with our internal stakeholders, such as the Sales Area Mangers, workshop team and technical support. Our team culture is positive and we work well together as a team. What you’ll do• Complete field machine inspections• Provide hands-on mechanical service work in the field to Metso customers• Provide technical liaison services between customers, product divisions and sales personnel• Perform technical evaluations and analyse equipment and machine component failures• Understand drawings and schematics to ensure correct processes are followed• Supervise and oversee Field Service projects on customer sites• Escalate questions and analysis to Technical Support and Engineering• Support quotation work by providing scope of work, initial planning and costing information• Promote products and services to customers• Prepare post site reports, timesheets and expenses after site visits• Promote Technical Support value add and support Technical Support TeamsSome Interstate and some international travel may apply.
