Fifo Village Manager - 8/6 Roster

At 28 Villages we provide remote accommodation, catering and support services to mining companies operating in remote Western Australia only. We deliver village management services bringing our villages to life through friendly customer service and outstanding catering.    

We are currently looking on the look out to expand our Village Management teams with the addition of experienced Village Managers to oversee the operations of our mining villages here in WA. You will be responsible for motivating our team of Utilities and Chefs, while delivering outstanding services to our clients and guests. 

Working on an 8/6 Roster, this role will best suit an experienced leader, who is passionate about teamwork with a natural "hands-on" leadership style. 

The Role

This role is to ensure daily operations run smoothly and that high services standards are met. You will receive ongoing support from senior management while reporting directly to the Manager - Client Services.

Duties Include but are not limited to:

• Creating a safe work culture through the delivery daily pre-start team meetings
• Managing full Village Operations including Cleaning, Housekeeping, and Catering services in accordance with client expectations
• Ensuring consistent operational performance, while maintaining safety standards
• Cost control and stock management
• Rostering of staff and approving timesheets

The Person

The ideal candidate will have previous village supervisory or management experience, most importantly a great work ethic and positive approach to problem solving. The following attributes are strongly desired:

Role Requirements

You have attributes beyond qualifications, that make you good at what you do, and we value soft skills as much as experience, although the following abilities and qualifications are desirable, highly desirable or necessary to be considered;

• Valid Manual drivers’ licence (necessary)
• Approved Managers licence (necessary)
• Proficient in using INX Software (highly regarded) 
• Good computer skills using the Microsoft Suite 
• Prior experience in Management of remote mining villages (highly regarded)
• Hospitality experience minimum 5 years (desirable)
• Ability to pass a medical and drug and alcohol screen (necessary)
• National Police Clearance, or willing to obtain one (necessary)
• Senior first aid (desirable)
• Safety and Training qualifications will be highly regarded.
