Finance Analyst

  • 6-month max term contract available with a view to extend

About the role

The Finance Analyst is responsible for performing the accounting function and business partnering with the PN Assets team. The appointee will be a person that can develop collaborative relationships and support in achievement of business goals. Initiative, effective communication, analytical and problem-solving skills are essential, as well as the ability to work effectively with systems and reporting tools.

Key Accountabilities include:

  • Collaborate with External Stakeholders to support the CAPWIP reduction project.
  • Prepare project capitalisations and process into the fixed asset register.
  • Continue to streamline the existing accounting process.

About you

Pacific National is looking for an experienced and motivated Finance Professional with the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively across different parts of the organisation. You will need strong knowledge of current accounting standards and excellent stakeholder management and communication skills to be able to build relationships with key stakeholders in different part of our business. You will have experience in a similar role, ideally experience with high capital budgets or heavy machinery and infrastructure.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 3 years accounting or data analytics experience
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Ability to listen and gain a valid understanding of specific business issues and projects
  • Willingness to challenge the status quo in a balanced and constructive manner
  • Ability to relate and work with people across the organisation
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines
  • Ability to deal with competing pressure
  • Strong work ethic
