About the role
As a Finance Business Partner, you will support and enable informed decision-making by delivering insightful business and financial analysis to the supply chain function and financial reporting. Additionally, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve supply chain efficiency, establish key performance indicators (KPIs), and implement processes that drive cost optimisation. Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial reporting standards while providing timely analysis that supports transparency and continuous improvement in supply chain operations.
Key Accountabilities:
- Collaborate with the supply chain team to deliver financial, commercial, and strategic insights. Support cost understanding, optimisation, and analysis for end-to-end margin management.
- Handle accounting for standard costs and purchasing variances, providing detailed explanations during month-end reporting. Prepare monthly reconciliations for inventory, supplier, and provision GL accounts.
- Prepare detailed inventory analysis, including ageing, reporting, and provision calculations.
- Own and maintain standard cost tables in SAP, facilitating product cost reviews and updates.
- Support the annual budgeting and forecasting processes for the supply chain and service functions.
- Participate and influence demand and supply planning sessions (Consumables & Parts), providing financial insights to guide decisions. Collaborate with supply chain and service teams to ensure alignment with business objectives and market demand.
- Review and update re-order levels for parts inventory items, working closely with Service Product Managers. Use data analysis and market trends to set optimal re-order points that balance inventory costs with supply chain efficiency.
- Review and recommend supplier and service invoices for payment, focusing on materials, freight, and logistics.
- Identify areas for continuous improvement within the supply chain, executing cost-saving initiatives. Prepare and publish a supply chain KPIs dashboard, contributing to monthly business performance reviews.
- Participate in benchmarking studies to evaluate freight and logistics costs against industry standards. Enable the implementation of cost optimisation initiatives by analysing spending patterns, identifying inefficiencies, and collaborating with logistics partners to negotiate better rates and improve service quality.
Skills we are looking for:
- Bachelor's degree with a CA/CPA qualification
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role, in addition to experience in business finance, management accounting, or financial planning and analysis (FP&A)
- Experience working within a multinational company
- Strong Business Partnering and communication skills
- A commercial mindset with the ability to critically evaluate business problems and propose effective solutions.
- Strong experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling, with exposure to systems like Hyperion and Cognos.
- Experience with SAP ERP, especially Material Master and FICO modules, as well as familiarity with Salesforce.
- Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in PowerPoint
- ability to think creatively about problem-solving, coupled with a broad understanding of industry trends and external business environments.
