Job description
The Finance Business Partner in the Department of Health will develop a robust knowledge of the business (operational and capital) to provide relevant financial reporting, analysis, advice, and support to key stakeholders for actuals, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and management decision making. Of particular importance is understanding financing, cost, and revenue structures, drivers, and the relationship between each.
What we are looking for:
Sound knowledge and skills in the provision of financial services, including management accounting concepts, practices, and strategies; and financial management policies and procedures
Sound knowledge and skills with the use and development of contemporary financial reporting practices, reporting fundamentals, and the understanding of financing, cost and revenue structures, drivers, and the relationship between each.
Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills and experience
Well-developed communication, negotiation, and consultation skills within a multidisciplinary workplace
Demonstrated organisational skills with the ability to manage a heavy workload, competing priorities, and the ability to meet deadlines and establish work priorities
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to understand formula driven financial models and prepare data analysis and reconciliations with a high degree of accuracy and consistency. Financial analytics systems experience will be highly regarded.
