Reporting to the General Manager, the Finance Business Partner plays a crucial role in aligning financial strategies with the overall business objectives. This position requires a deep understanding of financial analysis, forecasting, and strategic planning, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The Finance Business Partner collaborates closely with the Executive Leadership Team to provide financial insights and support decision-making processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Analysis, Accounts and Reporting:
- Analyse financial (and other source) data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Prepare financial reports based on analysis and business modelling, making recommendations to the GM and Executive Leadership Team to support decision making.
- Collaborate with the Executive Leadership Team to develop sound financial business planning, mitigation and informed decision making.
- Support the Finance Manager in the day to day management of accounts, the development of annual budgets, long-term financial plans, and audit requirements.
- Monitor budget performance, business trends, risks and opportunities, providing recommendations for corrective actions.
- Prepare financial forecasts based on business trends and initiatives.
- Undertake the role of the Finance Manager in their absence.
Business Partnership:
- Build strong relationships with Executive Leadership Team members and other stakeholders as required.
- Assist the Executive Leadership Team members, providing insights to drive profitability and efficiency.
- Understand the unique needs and challenges of each department and tailor financial support accordingly.
Financial Modelling:
- Develop financial models to evaluate the financial impact of various business scenarios.
- Assist in assessing the feasibility of new projects, investments, and initiatives.
Risk Management:
- Identify and assess financial risks and recommend strategies for mitigation.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
Cost Control:
- Monitor and analyse team expenditure, identifying areas for cost reduction and process improvement.
- Collaborate with Executive Leadership Team members to implement cost-saving initiatives.
