We are seeking an experienced Finance Business Partner to join the finance team at the City of Port Adelaide Enfield council. This pivotal role contributes to the financial success of the organization by ensuring accurate budgets, strategic alignment, and effective financial partnerships across various departments.

Key Responsibilities
As a Finance Business Partner, you will be responsible for delivering the following outcomes:
- Accurate, timely budgets and financial forecasts aligned with the strategic objectives of the Council.
- Providing strategic finance support to senior and operational management for community programs, projects, and services.
- Growing organizational financial acumen and improving capability in operational, service, and project costing.
- Establishing a contemporary overhead allocation methodology that is well understood.
- Implementing appropriate policies and internal financial controls to mitigate the risk of material misstatements in financial statements.

To be successful in this role, you should possess:
- Tertiary qualification in accounting or commerce (or equivalent).
- Postgraduate professional qualifications (i.e., CA/CPA).
- Demonstrated experience providing expert recommendations and commercially sound advice.
- Proven ability to influence, negotiate, and engage positively with diverse stakeholders.
- Experience in Local Government is desirable.
- Strong technical understanding of Australian Accounting Standards.
- Significant exposure to strategic management accounting and/or Business Partnering functions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft software (e.g., Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel).
This is a Level 6 position which has a current salary range of $109,121 - $116,699 (plus superannuation).
