The Organisation:
DANS In Home Care is an established community nursing and support service provider, who has serviced Western NSW since establishment in 1998.
DANS has grown and emerged into a specialist service provider that delivers care to aged and disability clients in their own home. DANS is a diverse business, providing care through a number of programs.
The Finance Business Partner is part of the team that provides all finance related functions and services to the organisation. The Finance Business Partner is responsible for supporting these functions. This includes but is not limited to: Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, budget and forecasting, operational performance and unit costing.
The Finance Business Partner will play an important role in contributing to technology and systems improvement to embed efficiencies in financial management work practices.
• Participate in month-end process, including ensuring the completion of the general ledger and Balance Sheet reconciliations and production of the P&L statements.
• Ability to analyse and interpret financial data and information and prepare reports for Finance Manager
• Supports the development and maintenance of financial systems and processes.
• Prepares reports and documents covering accounting transactions for management review.
• Ensures that accurate records are kept and utilise contemporary accounting practices and standards.
• Responsibility for the claiming and contracts associated with NDIS and DVA.
- Compliance with financial agreements for all funding models.
- Ensure account receivables and payables activities are performed accurately and timely.
• Assists with budget preparation, maintenance and cash flow forecasting.
- Preparation, reconciliation and reporting of Government Subsidised program requirements.
- Identify and resolve invoicing issues, accounting discrepancies and other financial related issues.
Certificates, Skills and Experience necessary for Position:
ESSENTIAL:
• Proven work experience as a Finance Officer or similar role
• Solid knowledge of financial and accounting procedures
• Experience using financial software
• Advanced MS Excel skills
• Knowledge of financial regulations and practices
• Excellent analytical and numerical skills
DESIRABLE:
• Analytical Skills
• Profit and Loss Analysis
• Understanding of budgeting cycles and how to plan and prepare budgets
• Forecasting experience and cashflow management
• Ability to undertake variance analysis and provide advice for decision making.
• Can develop/create financial models
• IT Skills: Proficiency in financial software and tools is essential for data management and reporting.
