The Role
Reporting to the General Manager and taking the reins of the finance function of the business, you will be responsible for all aspects of financial management, driving the businesses success and strategic growth. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial strategies with overall business objectives.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Manage day-to-day finance operations, including AP, AR, and payroll.
- Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls for compliance.
- Prepare comprehensive financial reports, forecasts, and variance analysis.
- Analyse financial data to inform strategic decision-making and performance enhancement.
- Collaborate cross-departmentally to monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial KPIs.
- Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory agencies.
- Mentor and develop finance team members for professional growth.
- Ensure strict compliance with financial regulations, compliance requirements, and tax laws, overseeing month-end close process and cash flow management.
Skills and Experience
- A Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or Commerce, coupled with CA/CPA qualifications
- Demonstrated expertise in Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, Budgeting & Forecasting, and Financial Analysis & Modelling
- Prior experience in Manufacturing, Supply Chain & Inventory, or Agriculture sectors highly advantageous
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and large ERP systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are crucial, enabling you to simplify complex financial matters and convey them effectively to a diverse audience
- Leadership and mentoring capabilities to lead and develop a high-performing finance team
- Ability to think outside the box and multitask
