The Opportunity
Reporting to the CEO, the Finance Manager will play a crucial role in managing the financial health of RPM Hire. This position requires a strategic thinker with strong financial acumen, whilst having fun at the same time! The Finance Manager will oversee all financial operations, ensuring compliance with regulations, developing financial strategies, and supporting the organisation's overall objectives.
Your tasks and responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Lead and mentor finance staff, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Manage the day-to-day and end-of-month financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure efficient financial management and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and analyses for the executive team and board of directors.
- Monitor cash flow, accounts, and other financial transactions.
- Coordinate and lead the annual audit process, liaising with external auditors and the finance committee of the board of directors.
- Provide strategic advice on financial analysis and projections, cost identification and allocation, and revenue/expense analysis.
- Actively play part of the Executive team and all the strategic discussions on growing the business.
What you will bring
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA/CA qualification.
- At least 3+ years of experience in a similar role.
- Demonstrated experience in managing a small-to-medium organisation’s accounting, tax and statutory compliance requirements.
- Five or more years of experience in executive/senior leadership roles.
- Experience in the hiring industry or related field is highly advantageous.
- Experience in the preparation of financial and management reporting.
- Advanced experience and knowledge of Xero and Microsoft suite.
- Experience in rostering, scheduling, timesheets, and people management.
