As a Senior Financial Accountant, you will be a key player in the finance department, responsible for overseeing financial reporting, analysis, and compliance activities. Your expertise will drive strategic decision-making and ensure the company's financial health and stability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the preparation of financial statements, reports, and budgets, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Perform variance analysis and provide insights to management on financial performance and trends.
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations and adjustments.
- Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic initiatives and business growth.
- Mentor and coach junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CA certification preferred.
- Extensive experience in financial accounting, reporting, and analysis, preferably in a retail or consumer goods industry.
- In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and regulatory requirements (GAAP/IFRS).
- Advanced proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
